Book 19 I finished on 19 June and was Double Fault by Lionel Shriver.  It was about a couple of tennis professionals and how they cope when one career skids as the other skyrockets.  I tried hard to love it, especially as it was around the time of Wimbledon, but I just didn’t.  I loved We Need to Talk About Kevin but this book left me cold.

So cold in fact that it took 2 weeks to start another – When God Was a Rabbit by Sarah Winman.  I loved this book – until the last 100 pages when it moved from being a story of a girl with an unconventional friendship, to being a story about a girl and her brother.  Odd.  but reasonably enjoyable.
