This is something I am trying out. A big linkup of blogs that connect to The simple Woman’s daybook blog.
Let me know what you think, and if you pop over to any other blogs, be sure to tell them you found it here first!
FOR TODAY
Outside my window… I can see that the skies are as grey as yesterday, and I am wondering if it will snow again.
I am thinking… that I should be looking for a new job. Where is my motivation?
I am thankful… that I have a wonderful husband, a comfortable house, plenty to eat and drink, a supportive family and the time to work “stuff” out.
In the kitchen… it smells a bit vinegary as I just washed the floor with it. The coffee I plan to make should take the smell away though!
I am wearing… my nightie and dressing gown and some cosy slippers.
I am creating… a baby blanket for a colleague, a big blanket for me, some fingerless gloves and a cardigan that are lanugishing in a basket, and some christmas decorations as presents. I am also creating a mess, washing up and bags for the charity shop!
I am going… to have a bath, get dressed, drop my prescription in to the doctors and work up the nerve to do something about my work situation. Ostrich head in the sand approach hasn’t been overly productive…
I am wondering… when to resign.
I am reading… Simple living guide to simplifying your work/life balance by Elaine St James, A mindful way to treat depression, and about to pick a new historical novel too (probably Philippa Gregory…)
I am hoping… that a new job comes easily, and that beloved’s work situation improves. That my money problems disspiate. My lose weight switch clicks in.
I am looking forward to… going to France with my mum, going to Unravel knitting festival with my mum. Beloved getting home early.
I am learning… to be kinder to myself. Makaton sign language.
Around the house… things are a little messy, but coming together. I have cleaned the kitchen and swept the lounge of hay and sawdust (house bunny). Need to hoover upstairs and declutter more. I’ve donated 8 big bags of items to the charity shop this year, and there are so many more things I could donate!
I am pondering… what to cook for dinner.
A favorite quote for today… “Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without!”
One of my favorite things… husband.
A few plans for the rest of the week: a trip to the library, meeting a friend for coffee, taking bunny for his injections, counselling.
A peek into my day…
So what do you think? Will you be doing a daybook link up?
Take care,
nyaz
